Jacek Kotlarski

Vocal coach

Graduate of the trumpet class at the Secondary School of Music, the Post-Secondary Vocal School in Poznań, and the Jazz and Popular Music Department at the Academy of Music in Katowice and Poznań, vocal class. Since 2000, he has been working with the ROMA Musical Theatre in Warsaw. As a session vocalist, he has produced recordings with such artists as Ryszard Rynkowski, Krzysztof Herdzin, Ewa Bem, Zbigniew Wodecki and Irena Santor.

He has also sung in many television programmes (Dancing with the Stars, Soapstar Superstar, Tylko nas dwoje [Just the Two of Us]). He has participated many times in the biggest Polish festivals of popular music (including Opole, Sopot and Top Trendy). He is a soloist in the symphonic project of John Lord, a founder member of the legendary band Deep Purple. He has performed a number of solo recitals with the best orchestras of Polish philharmonics. He has performed one of the leading roles in the musical Swing at the Musical Theatre Capitol in Wrocław. In 2011, he gave concerts at one of the most prestigious concert halls, the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Canada. In 2015, he performed as a soloist in the oratorio Szukam was [I Search for You] in Chicago and New York. In spring 2012, his first solo album was released, co-authored with Tomasz Szymuś, entitled Nigdy nie jest za późno [It’s Never Too Late] (published by Polish Radio, produced by Krzysztof Herdzin). Since 2016, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Vocal and Acting Studies (specialty: Musical) of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
