Dawid Lubowicz


He graduated with honours from Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, (violin class of Professor Konstanty Andrzej Kulka), Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice (violin jazz class of Henryk Gembalski). He is also a decorated laureate of many music festivals and competitions. He has worked with many artists from Poland and abroad.

In recent years, he won the 4th prize at the Crossover Composition Award 2015, took 3rd place in the 1st edition of the Zbigniew Seifert International Jazz Competition, and received a special award of the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice (2014).

As a composer and arranger, he has been working with various institutions and individuals in Poland. He is also a member of Bester Quartet (previously Cracow Klezmer Band) and co-founder of the ATOM STRING QUARTET, one of the top Polish jazz ensembles, winner of two Fryderyk awards for the albums “Fade In” and “Places”.
