He began his professional career at the School of Art, Design and Technology in Amsterdam, as the assistant of Marc Heinz, lighting director. He has worked with Marc on several shows of Armin van Buuren, and on exhibitions in Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam, and Volkenkunde Museum in Leiden. He has also worked with famous Dutch cabaret actors, such as Jochem Myjer. He was a lighting director of the anniversary shows 100 jaar Toon Hermans at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam, broadcast live by Dutch television. The Pilots is his second show in Warsaw as an assistant lighting director. The first was the opera Die tote Stadt, directed by Mariusz Treliński at the Grand Theatre – National Opera (première: 10 June 2017).
